Mezzo-soprano, June Baboian



Mezzo-soprano June Baboian is a versatile singer and actor whose work encompasses opera, operetta, theatre, and film. Her most recent credits include Madame Praskowia in the New England Light Opera Company's production of The Merry Widow, Lady Liberty in Public Domain with the New Opera, and Musical Theatre Initiative's "Birth of a Musical" Festival, and Daniel Pinkham's The Garden Party and The Cask of Amontillado in the Opera Unlimited Festival with Boston Academy of Music and the Boston Modern Orchestra Project.
 
A member of Actors' Equity Association, Ms. Baboian has appeared at many New England theatres including the North Shore Music Theatre and the American Repertory Theatre. Favorite roles include Bloody Mary in South Pacific and Adelaide in Guys and Dolls. From time to time, she can be found portraying tavern owner Mrs. Priscilla Broaders at the USS Constitution Museum. Ms. Baboian serves as director of music at the Armenian Memorial Congregational Church in Watertown, MA.
