Soprano, Jane Leikin



Soprano Jane Leikin is well known to Boston audiences. She has appeared with numerous organizations, including Boston Lyric Opera, Boston Academy of Music, Opera Company of Boston, Boston Concert Opera, Longwood Opera, and Newton Opera. Among her many roles are such Mozart heroines as Countess Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, and Silberklang in Der Schauspieldirektor. She has also been heard as Micaëla in Bizet's Carmen, Lola in Moore's Gallantry, and Maria in Bernstein's West Side Story. Ms. Leikin's frequent appearances as soprano soloist include the works of Bach, Buxtehude, Charpentier, Handel, Hasse, Hohvaness, Mozart, Rossini, and Schubert, among others. She was chosen as a finalist in the Bel Canto Opera Foundation Competition.
