Tenor, Elias Rosemberg ![]() Tenor Elias Rosemberg was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He comes from a family of musicians. Cantor Rosemberg began working as a Hazzan (Jewish Liturgical Singer) at the age of 18 at the Chaim Weitzmann Synagogue, Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 1994, after completing three years of professional training at Seminario Rabinico Latinoamericano, Argentina, he obtained the degree of Hazzan and Singing Professor. In addition, he studied music theory and harmony at Manual de Falla Conservatory of Music. Elias studied a five-year program in Pathology, Audiology, and Speech Therapy at the School of Medicine, University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. He served as a Hazzan at Lamroth Hakol Synagogue from 1990 to 2000. Since July 2001 Elias has been the Cantor at Temple Emeth in Chestnut Hill, MA. Cantor Rosemberg has performed in numerous concerts, as well as on TV and radio, and he is featured on several recordings. In 1998, Cantor Rosemberg won the contest "Argentina Sings for Israel" organized by the Israel Embassy in Argentina. In February 2002, he was chosen to sing the memorial prayer at the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC, for the Cantors Assembly of America Convention.
